PowderCab SAS, Morzine.
1.1) "PowderCab" means PowderCab SAS. "Client" means the person booking, for themselves or others. "Party" means everyone travelling under one booking. "Passenger" means an individual member of a Party.
2.1) Bookings can be made online up to 48 hours before travel, subject to availability. On payment, the Client receives two emails: a PowderCab booking confirmation (5-digit reference, transfer summary, invoice, which should be kept as the Party's ticket) and a separate payment confirmation from our payment provider (in French, with its own reference, which is not the booking reference). If either email is missing, the booking is not confirmed; contact PowderCab immediately.
2.2) Where PowderCab books on the Client's behalf, a summary and a secure payment link are sent by email. The link requests full payment and expires within 48 hours; PowderCab may cancel it earlier at its discretion. The same two confirmation emails follow on payment.
2.3) At booking, the Client must provide: full names and party size; a valid email; a valid mobile number usable during the stay; exact travel dates; the exact Geneva arrival/departure flight or train time (local French time); flight number and origin airport, or train station; accommodation name and address; and any special requirements (seats, bikes, etc.). Incomplete information may mean PowderCab cannot honour the transfer, and charges may apply.
2.4) The arrival time given must be the Geneva landing time (not a connecting flight's departure time), in local French time. The departure time must be the flight's actual departure time (not check-in time). The flight number must be the airline's flight number (not a booking confirmation number).
2.5) Clients staying at more than one address must say so at booking, or all pickups and drop-offs will default to the single address given. Key collection must also be arranged at booking, or the Client is responsible for reaching it themselves.
2.6) The Client is responsible for the accuracy of all details given. Once submitted, details go straight to the scheduling system and cannot be edited; errors may incur charges up to the cost of a new transfer (reduced or waived if flagged early). Incorrect contact details may mean a transfer is not honoured, with no refund. PowderCab is not responsible for errors in flight details and may be unable to reschedule, especially on busy days. Where rescheduling is possible, the Client covers the cost (driver waiting time at €25/hour, subcontracting, admin fees, or a new transfer).
2.7) The confirmation email is the Party's ticket and must be available to show the driver (printed or electronic), with all Party members' names recorded on it.
2.8) Booking online, by email or by phone means accepting these Terms on behalf of the whole Party.
2.9) The mobile number given must be usable throughout the stay, with the correct country code.
2.10) The Client must SMS PowderCab once their outbound flight has departed on time (name and booking reference), and keep PowderCab updated if it is delayed.
2.11) The Client is responsible for an accurate address and clear directions to their pickup or drop-off point.
2.12) Return transfer times are sent by SMS by 15:00 the day before, based on the Client's return flight time (not check-out time, unless agreed at booking). Changes after confirmation may not be possible, or may be chargeable.
2.13) Any change of details must be flagged as soon as possible and confirmed by PowderCab, subject to a minimum €20 admin fee. Changes to time, date, destination or passenger numbers may be charged at the full rate. Where PowderCab cannot accommodate a change, neither the original transfer nor a refund may be possible.
2.14) PowderCab never shares billing information or email addresses with third parties. Mobile numbers are shared only with subcontracted partners, solely to arrange the transfer. Email addresses may be used for future marketing.
2.15) PowderCab aims for true door-to-door service, dropping as close as safely possible where weather or access prevents this (possibly the end of a driveway). Avoriaz is car-free: all Avoriaz clients are dropped at the Welcome Centre.
2.16) If the road to Avoriaz is closed or judged unsafe, clients may be taken to or from the Prodains Express Lift instead. This is rare, but possible. PowderCab does not refund the lift cost.
3.1) Full payment by card (MasterCard, Visa, Visa Debit, Carte Bleue) is required to secure a booking.
3.2) The price quoted at booking is final. Unconfirmed quotes may change. Shared-transfer passengers may pay different prices for the same journey. Cancelling or being unable to travel does not reduce the price owed; inform PowderCab as soon as possible. Extra passengers added after booking pay the standard rate as a new booking.
3.3) Shared services may be unavailable for small groups, unusual flight times, or shoulder and interseason dates, meaning only a private rate applies. These are not eligible for promotions unless stated.
4.1) Cancellations must be made by email, at least 14 days before the first journey, for a 90% refund (minus bank, admin and rescheduling costs). No refund is given within 14 days of the first journey, in whole or in part. A confirmation email and insurance documentation follow. Refunds are in euros; PowderCab is not liable for exchange-rate loss.
4.2) Bookings cannot be transferred to a new date within 14 days of the first journey without forfeiting the refund. A moved booking is treated, and quoted, as new.
4.3) Client-requested amendments may incur a €25 admin fee.
4.4) PowderCab is not liable for delays outside its control (weather, traffic, accidents, police action, restricted access, other customers, civil unrest, terrorism, war, etc.), and no compensation applies for a missed flight in these circumstances.
4.5) Where PowderCab cannot honour a booking for reasons within its own control, a full refund or an alternative travel option is offered.
4.6) Last-minute shared transfers are non-refundable.
4.7) Under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, passenger transport bookings are exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off right that applies to most online purchases. Sections 4.1 to 4.6 govern all cancellations in full.
5.1) PowderCab's earlier COVID-specific booking and cancellation terms no longer apply. Illness, injury or infectious disease (including COVID-19) is handled under the standard cancellation policy at Section 4.
5.2) Clients must hold travel insurance covering illness, injury and infectious disease (see Section 7). PowderCab cannot offer refunds or compensation beyond Section 4 for these situations.
6.1) PowderCab's earlier COVID-specific hygiene policy has been retired. Standard hygiene, safety and insurance provisions (Sections 7 and 16) apply, as for any illness.
7.1) The Client (and Party) must hold comprehensive travel insurance covering force majeure, resort and piste closure, transport costs, and winter sports. PowderCab is not responsible for missed flights or costs from delayed transfers due to road closures, traffic or unsafe conditions. Insurance-claim documentation is provided on request.
7.2) Cover applies only inside a PowderCab vehicle, not while entering or exiting it, where care is needed around ice, uneven ground and unfamiliar traffic directions. Personal property travels at the passenger's own risk.
8.1) PowderCab waits free of charge up to 40 minutes (shared) or 1 hour (private) after a delay. Beyond this, €25 per hour or part thereof applies per minibus needed. If the driver cannot wait longer, PowderCab moves the Party to the next available transfer (full rate if a dedicated service is needed) or subcontracts; any extra cost is the Client's responsibility. One delay can affect PowderCab's wider schedule, so clients (including private bookings) may occasionally need to share a vehicle as a result.
8.2) A cancelled flight must be reported to PowderCab immediately. PowderCab will attempt to reschedule (possibly at the full new-transfer rate) and provide insurance documentation.
9.1) Shared clients may share a vehicle with others on a similarly timed flight: arrivals within 45 minutes (winter) or 1 hour (summer) of each other, departures within 1 hour (winter) or 1 hour 30 minutes (summer). Where grouped with a later arrival, a driver may not be there on landing; wait at the Hub & Co Café and notify PowderCab. Clients landing after 21:00 may wait for the day's final transfer. If another shared client's flight is delayed, others may need to wait too, unless an alternative transfer is available.
9.2) Shared transfers may route via other resorts, or occasionally detour up to 20 minutes (for example via Samëns or Morillon), to keep shared pricing low.
9.3) PowderCab uses 8-seater minibuses; groups of 8 or more may be split across vehicles by capacity.
10.1) Private Parties have sole occupancy and travel on their own schedule, direct to the destination. Groups of 8 or more may be split across two or more vehicles.
11.1) PowderCab schedules all departures. Specific time or location requests are considered case by case at booking.
11.2) The departure time sent by SMS is based on the Client's return flight (not check-out time, unless agreed at booking). Please be ready: the driver and other passengers may not be able to wait.
11.3) Standard pre-flight departure windows:
These vary with traffic, weather and other clients' flights, plus up to an extra hour at weekends.
11.4) Shared timings account for all sharing clients' flight times, with logistical pickups en route. Clients may be collected earlier than the standard windows above.
12.1) Ski and snowboard luggage: no charge. Each passenger may bring one piece of luggage, one ski or board bag, and one piece of hand luggage. Unusual or oversized items (over 175cm) must be flagged at booking and may incur a surcharge; oversized luggage may need to travel on laps. Each passenger is responsible for their own items. PowderCab is not liable for loss, damage, or anything left behind (retrieval or postage is the passenger's responsibility).
12.2) Bikes: no charge (one per passenger, maximum 150 x 100 x 30cm). Declare the number and whether boxed or bagged at booking, or space may not be available. Bikes take up significant space, so other luggage may need to travel on laps.
12.3) Passengers travelling with a bike need insurance covering trailer transport. PowderCab's vehicle insurance does not cover trailer contents.
12.4) Luggage taking over 30 minutes to arrive after landing should be reported to PowderCab. PowderCab waits up to 45 minutes before €25 per hour (per minibus needed) applies. Lost luggage must be reported immediately; nominate one person to manage it while the rest of the group continues to resort.
13.1) Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult (a pre-booked parent or nominated guardian), who is responsible for their conduct.
13.2) Under EU law, children under 12 or under 1.35m need a child or booster seat. These are provided free, but the Client must flag this at booking.
14.1) No alcohol may be brought onboard for consumption during the journey. No smoking or illegal substances in any PowderCab vehicle.
15.1) The Client is liable for any damage caused by the Party (minimum €100 to cover repair or valeting). Sick bags are provided; a minimum €100 cleanup fee applies for soiling, and cleaning it up thoroughly is the accompanying adult's responsibility. Given the winding nature of mountain roads, prevention (avoiding food and drink before travel, anti-sickness medication, looking out of the window) is strongly recommended for under-18s.
16.1) PowderCab aims for all vehicles to arrive and depart on schedule, but accepts no liability or refund obligation for delays or costs from circumstances outside its control. These include road accidents, injuries, vehicle breakdown, other passengers' actions, industrial action, civil unrest, third-party vehicle damage, severe weather, police or customs delays, or force majeure (war, natural disaster, infectious disease, etc.). Please report any transfer problem to PowderCab as soon as possible.
16.2) Except where prohibited by law, PowderCab's total liability to the Client for any single transfer, however arising, will not exceed the price paid for that transfer leg.
17.1) PowderCab may subcontract to other licensed, insured local operators for reasons including delays, cancellations, lost luggage, environmental impact, cost, or availability. A full refund applies if no availability exists and subcontracting is not possible.
17.2) Where PowderCab books with a third-party operator on the Client's behalf, PowderCab acts only as booking agent, and that operator's own conditions apply.
18.1) Codes are valid only for the intended recipient, and are limited by date and service. An expired code cannot be honoured on an incomplete booking. Misuse must be paid in full, and PowderCab may refuse service until payment is received.
19.1) Complaints should be emailed to PowderCab, which aims to respond within 14 days.
19.2) Unresolved disputes go to mediation first, then to formal litigation through the French courts if mediation fails.
20.1) These Terms are governed by French law.
20.2) Website errors are corrected promptly; PowderCab may cancel and refund any booking made on an incorrect price.
20.3) PowderCab may apply fuel surcharges reflecting unforeseen rises in fuel cost.
20.4) PowderCab may update this website and these Terms without notice.
