Who we are

PowderCab is a family-run company based in Morzine, run by Steve and Caro (hello!). Since 2005 we have run private and shared door-to-door transfers from Geneva Airport to Morzine, Les Gets, Avoriaz, Samoëns, Morillon and the surrounding valleys. We are not a booking agent: we run the transfers ourselves, with our own vehicles and our own drivers.

Our promise to you

Safety comes first. Our drivers are hand-picked, their working hours are managed, and they have taken a professional alpine driving course. All our vehicles have winter tyres and carry snow chains.

We are fully licensed and insured, and comply with French and Swiss transport law. Licence no. 2024/82/000027 (Transport de Voyageurs). Siret 80531895300025. Insured with AXA, Morzine.

Our drivers

Our drivers are carefully recruited, English-speaking and trained for alpine driving conditions, and can fit snow chains almost blindfolded. Every driver has a clean police background check and a medical, as French transport rules require. Swiss transport regulations also require every driver to prove either a professional driving qualification or proven professional driving experience, so the people behind the wheel are experienced professionals. Our vehicles are tracked, so we can steer around traffic and road closures.

Our English- and French-speaking team in Morzine is available 24/7 by phone on +33 (0)6 72 99 19 48 and by email. We reply as quickly as possible, usually straight away during working hours. We track flights, traffic and vehicles in real time and adjust the schedule so your transfer runs smoothly. We have an accommodation database covering the area, so we know where to find your chalet or hotel.

The environment

Our office runs on solar power, and we are ready to add electric charging as soon as the right vehicle is available. Our booking system is paperless, and we recycle waste wherever we can. We are a Foundation Member of Montagne Verte, the non-profit environmental organisation in Morzine.

We also plan our departures and arrivals together wherever we can, to avoid wasted back-and-forth journeys. We would rather our drivers wait a while between services than drive empty vehicles up and down the valley, because fewer unnecessary miles means a smaller environmental impact.
