Quick answers about booking, luggage, delays and your transfer day.

Making a booking

How do I make a booking?

Use the quote and booking form on our Book page. Enter your travel details to get a price, then book and pay securely by card. You can also email or call us and we will do it for you and send a transfer summary and a secure payment link. Once you have paid, you get two emails: a payment confirmation from your card provider, and a booking confirmation from us with your booking reference and invoice. If either is missing, please contact us. Our English-speaking team is on +33 (0)6 72 99 19 48.

Do you provide baby, child and booster seats?

Yes, they are free. Tell us the ages and number of children on your booking form, or in an email. You are welcome to bring your own. Children under 12 or under 1.35 m need a child or booster seat, so please let us know when you book.

How much luggage can I bring?

Each passenger may bring one piece of luggage, one ski or snowboard bag and one piece of hand luggage, at no charge. Bikes are carried free too, one per passenger. Please tell us the number of ski bags and bikes when you book, as space cannot be guaranteed otherwise. Unusual or oversized items (over 175 cm) must be flagged at booking.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Card payment in full: Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit and Carte Bleue. You can pay securely online when you book, or through a payment link we email you. Phone payment is possible, but a payment link is simpler.

How can I amend my booking?

Please email or phone us as soon as possible. Changes are subject to availability and may carry an admin fee. See our terms and conditions.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Cancel by email at least 14 days before your first journey for a 90% refund, less bank, admin and rescheduling costs. Within 14 days there is no refund, so we recommend travel insurance. Full details are in our terms and conditions.

Types of transfer

What is a private transfer?

Only your party travels, whatever its size. The driver goes directly to and from your accommodation, and you never wait for other passengers.

What is a shared transfer?

A shared transfer suits solo travellers, couples and groups on a tighter budget. You travel door to door with other guests on similarly timed flights, with arrivals within about 45 minutes of each other. The driver may visit other guests' accommodation first. Shared is for economy, and a little flexibility helps. Shared transfers are by enquiry: see our shared prices, then contact us.

Arrivals and departures

How long will I wait at the airport?

On a private transfer you leave as soon as your group meets the driver. On a shared transfer you may wait for other guests whose flights land within about 45 minutes of yours.

What if my flight is delayed?

We track your flight. On a private transfer the driver waits up to one hour at no charge, and on a shared transfer up to 40 minutes. Beyond that, €25 per hour (or part of an hour) applies per minibus. If the driver cannot wait, we will try to move you to the next available transfer, and if a new service is needed the full rate applies. Please keep us informed of any delay.

What happens in heavy snow or bad weather?

All our vehicles have winter tyres and carry snow chains. Heavy snow can still cause delays or road closures. We watch the forecast and keep you updated, and may need to move a pick-up or drop-off point. We will help you find a way to reach your destination.

Where do you operate, and how long will my transfer take?

Times vary with snow, road conditions and traffic. Typical journey times from Geneva are: Les Gets about 1h10; Morzine about 1h15; Montriond about 1h20; St Jean d'Aulps about 1h25; Samoëns about 1h05; Morillon about 1h. Avoriaz depends on your drop-off point: Top Station about 1h40 to 1h50, Prodains about 1h15 to 1h25. For anywhere else, ask us.

Should I choose Avoriaz Top Station or Prodains?

Avoriaz is car-free, so there are two drop-off points. Prodains is shorter, quicker and cheaper, and you take a 3-minute telecabine. Top Station is a longer road with 19 hairpin bends, but you arrive at the Welcome Centre. The Prodains telecabine is included in your day ski pass if you ski on your travel day, and children travel free. Otherwise it is €8.50 for an adult single or €13.90 return (subject to change). Read our guide to choosing.

The day of your transfer

How do I recognise my driver?

On arrival, after passport control and baggage collection, make your way into the main Arrivals Hall on the Swiss side. Your driver will be in a black uniform with the PowderCab logo, holding a PowderCab sign with your name. Your driver will also be in contact, either before take-off or after landing, to help with a smooth collection, so please switch your phone back on after landing. If you can't see them, go to the Hub & Co Café, the first café on the left as you enter the arrivals hall, and call us. For your return, look out for the PowderCab minibus at your accommodation.

What time will I be picked up from resort?

We send an SMS by 15:00 the day before your return with your pick-up time, based on your flight time. We always aim to get you to the airport a minimum of 2 hours before your flight is due to depart, which means pick-ups are typically around 3 to 4 hours before your flight, depending on your resort. If the SMS doesn't arrive, contact us with your name and booking reference. Please be ready and visible at the end of your driveway.

Should I tip my driver?

Tipping is optional. If you felt the service from booking to arrival was good and your transfer was safe and enjoyable, you are very welcome to be generous.
